Speaking to reporters before introducing Chris Getz as the team’s new general manager, Reinsdorf stuck to the Sox’ original story that the shooting must have originated outside the stadium.
“He knows our players, both at the major league level and in our system, knows our staff and is familiar with all aspects of our baseball operations department,” chairman Jerry Reinsdorf said.
“Sometimes bad things happen so better things can be pieced back together,” Anderson said.
